Position description

Reporting to the Buyer, you will assist with the inventory control of retail products, purchasing / logistic functions, systems data entry and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the buyers and assistant buyers with various merchandise projects
• Reviewing inventory and daily orders of department products
• Data entry and inventory maintenance
• Liaising with vendors and warehouses
• Assisting in marketing projects
• Analysing product markets

The successful applicant will possess:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail - either store operations or a purchasing/inventory position in a retail environment
• Excellent team player
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail
• A degree in business management or in a related field is desirable.

The position will commence at North Ryde and we anticipate it will move to Auburn in August 2011.
