Retail Food & Safety Compliance Officer 

 
Based in North Ryde Support Office
Full Time Position
Intermediate experience essential

Position Description

Key responsibilities:

  • · Assessment and review of imported food product against all pertinent reg’s, for compliance to Aust Laws 
  • · Determine import requirements for a cross section of food items and manage import item packaging and labelling approval
  • · Artwork & label development, as well as the management of relabelling and repackaging activities via a 3rd party provider
  • · Development of in-house labeling for ‘fresh’ food areas
  • · Co-coordinating product reviews, assessing quality & benchmarking exercises
  • · Investigation of Product incidentsCo-ordination and management of product testing and validation schedule
  • · Actively manage Costco’s Food Vendor Assurance Program
  • · Implementation, administration, monitoring and maintenance of Warehouse Food Safety Program & associated documentation
  • · Co-ordination, action and maintenance of recall and withdrawal activities.

You will possess:

· A degree in Food Science/Technology, Applied Science or like discipline
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications A understanding of Aust import requirements (including the use of associated tools)
- attention to detail strong problem solving experience
- clear written & verbal communication skills.
